Nike is slowly building up their catalog of colorways for the Field general ’82 this year, parsing out a new style every month. This week, we’ve got an early look at a new pair coming in October, mixing a sail white upper with a Rust Pink accent.
Nike’s Field General is back this year, returning the 1982 turf trainer to the Swoosh’s catalog in its original format for the first time in nearly a decade. The model served as the inspiration behind a number of popular models over the decades since its debut, most recently the Tom Sachs’ GPS and the soon-to-drop C1TY model.
Nike is still pushing out new styles for the Field General as we head into Fall and Winter and more inclement weather. New styles continue to appear, with the latest being a “Rust Pink” style slated for an October release. This pair pits the shoe’s nylon and leather upper in Sail white, with the light pink shade applied to the shoe’s branding. Finally, light gum soles complete the look.

Nike’s next release of the retro Field General 82 has not been officially scheduled for release yet, but is expected to land on shelves sometime in October 2024. The white model with “Rust Pink” accents and a gum sole will be releasing from both Nike’s SNKRS app and select retailers for $100.
