Nike Field General ’82 in “Blaze Orange” Releases in May

Nike has revived their classic Field General ’82 model this year, bringing a simple and sleek model to their catalog for a retro run. This week, we got an early look at a “Blaze Orange” pair, coming later this month.

Nike’s Field General is back this year, returning the 1982 turf trainer to the Swoosh’s catalog in its original format for the first time in nearly a decade. The model has served as inspiration from a number of silhouettes over the years, including Tom Sachs’ fan-favorite General Purpose Shoe. The model has already released in two styles so far, with a Union collaboration expected this Summer. This week, a new “Blaze Orange” pair has joined the release calendar, expected for May. The look features similar blocking to previous releases, casting the shoe in a white nylon and leather upper with an all-black sole unit. Bright Blaze Orange leather is added for the Swooshes and heel tabs.
