Nike’s ever-evolving running technologies has made some massive strides in recent years. Most notably, React foam replaced the infamous Lunarlon for a more flexible fit. Now, the technology joins the Epic Phantom for a laceless new look.
This month’s release of Nike’s laceless React runner, the Epic React Phantom, makes some subtle changes to the overall design of the shoe, while retaining the same sleek look and feel fans have come to love. The latest colorway, titled Football Grey, covers the single-piece Flyknit upper in a neutral grey tone, with an oversized Swoosh printed in black along the ankle and collar lining. The heel clip used for support mixes a darker shade of grey with a flat gold tone and bright blue for a flash of color, while grey and gum outsole treads are added to the plain white React midsole. Finally, a blue Sunburst Swoosh logo is added to the inner lining to complete the look.

Nike’s latest React-cushioned running sneaker is scheduled to make its return next month on August 1st, 2019. The Epic Phantom React will retail for the same $160 price tag as usual, and release from both Nike and select retailers.
