Nike’s React technology isn’t even a year old and already it’s made a respectable name for itself. With a handful of models readily available, the Swoosh is ready to re-up on their latest silhouette, the Element 55.

Nike’s React Element series has barely made its debut and is still making waves in the global sneaker scene. Originally debuted last year in an Undercover fashion show, the Element 87 was a wild departure from our expectations for Nike React. The new silhouette gave a clean and unusually sporty look to a lifestyle shoe, as well as wild new technologies like React foam and a translucent upper. Now, the Swoosh has transitioned to a less technologically-advanced form. Utilizing the same React midsole and tooling, the new upper is constructed from nylon and synthetics, to create a more durable and efficient sneaker. This month, the Element 55 has surfaced in a bold new color scheme, which covers the silhouette in a bright University Red tone. A grey Swoosh adds some depth to the side, while black detailing around the heel adds stability.
