Nike’s Element series is just beginning to heat up. While the flagship Element 87 model is racking up sneaker of the year titles, the easier-to-find Element 55 is dropping in some scorching hot new colorways.

The Nike React Element 55 is almost the same shoe as the 87. In fact, both silhouettes rest on top of identical React midsoles, right down to the positioning of their TPU support systems embedded underfoot. Even the upper is constructed in exactly the same way, although with significantly less expensive materials. Made from professional-grade nylon, the Element 55 is slowly beginning to overtake its big brother in terms of exciting new colorways. Last week, Nike teamed up with the UK’s size? on a special iteration is known as the “Escape” pack. Now, Nike is stealing a bit of inspiration from size? for themselves. This week, a new two-pack of the Element 55 surfaced online, titled the “Grid” pack. Taking two relatively simple colorways, Nike has added a very basic grid across the entirety of the upper for both pairs. The first colorway paints the upper in varying shades of grey and silver, while the second mixes black with volt green.
