Recently, rumors stating that Nike’s 2006 Dunk Mid would return next year surfaced online. Now, just days later, the first official images of a ‘Pale Ivory’ color scheme have also emerged, confirming the shoe’s return, possibly even sooner than 2023.

Nike’s Dunk silhouette was first introduced in 1985, serving as one of the brand’s premier basketball silhouettes. Available in low and high-cut options, the shoe has become one of the most important lifestyle models in the history of sneakers. In 2006, the brand introduced a new Mid version, splitting the difference between the previously available low and high variants. Now, the Dunk Mid is expected to return in Spring 2023, and today we have our first look at one of the new color schemes. Dubbed ‘Pale Ivory’, the name is a bit misleading, given the colorful nature of this pair. Constructed entirely in a canvas upper, the base layer features the muted off-white tone, while the overlays are added in Mineral Teal, Moss, and Alpha Orange, paired with a jet black Swoosh. Contrast stitching around the shoe adds another layer to complete the look.
