Nike has taken inspiration from the annual Japan Setsubun Festival for a special rendition of the Nike Dunk Low.
Last year we saw adidas celebrate the festival and now in 2022 Nike will be taking the initiative this year for the Japanese festival. Setsubun, formally known as the bran throwing festival, celebrates the start of the Spring season and is used to weed off bad spirits and welcome good fortune to all those who celebrate. This Dunk Low arrives with not only an impressive-looking design that features tan, brown, and purple and a demon graphic on the lower ankles. The sneaker also arrives with historic imagery on the insoles thanks to some special artwork from the Edo period which was from the 1840s. A white midsole and translucent gum outsole finish off the design.
