Nike will be dedicating a Dunk Low to the Houston Comets in remembrance of the historic four-peat.
The Houston Comets are one of the original WNBA teams which debuted back in 1997. The team would begin the WNBA years with four championship titles in a row from 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. To commemorate the four titles and remember the historic performance of the 97-00 teams, Nike will be dressing the Dunk Low in a Comet’s inspired design. Featuring a lather design, navy blue paints the panelings while a white overlay system is placed throughout while red outlined Swoosh logos highlight the sides. ’97-’00 is included on the heels while a four-finger motif is included on the lateral ankles which of course recognizes the accomplishments. A white rubber midsole and navy outsole complete the design underneath.
