Nike Dunk Low Bacon

Nike’s ‘Bacon’ colorway originated in 2004, with the release of the DQM Air Max 90. Only reissued once, for Air Max Day 2021, the color palette returns this holiday season in the form of the Dunk Low.

The first release of the ‘Bacon’ Air Max 90 from Dave’s Quality Meats in 2004 turned the sneaker world upside down, creating a new hype for limited-edition footwear. Since then, the elusive color scheme has been pointed to as a classic, despite Nike almost never revisiting the design, save for the shoe’s rerelease for Air Max Day in 2021. Now, the Swoosh is pulling out the meat-themed palette for a new release of the Dunk Low, coming this holiday season. The look begins with a white leather base for the upper, adding bright red suede overlays. The Swooshes and mesh tongues come in light pink, while a pale tan shade covers the laves and leather inner lining. Finally, hints of brown appear on the tongue tags, heels, and outsoles.
