The Nike Air Max 1 and Huarache were massive steps in innovation for the Swoosh when they first released, and have grown to become some of the brand’s most recognizable silhouettes. Now, Nike is celebrating the two with a new color-swapped pack.

Nike’s roots in the running footwear industry have brought them a long way since their start in the 1960s. Now, the Swoosh is at the top of the sneaker world, referred to both statistically and coloquially as one of the largest and most recognized brands in the entire world. Much of Nike’s history however, is centered around a few pivotal models. Between the 80s and 90s, these models were the Air Max 1 and Air Huarache, both sneakers engineered to provide a lighter, more comfortable running experience. Now, Nike is paying homage to both silhouettes with a crossover colorway pack. Each shoe will wear the other’s original colorway, with the Air Max 1 sporting a mostly off-white base with Volt and blue accents, while the Huarache is almost entirely white with the lower sections of the upper dyed in the AM1’s signature University Red.
