Nike’s Daybreak has received a lot of attention following the success of the Undercover and Sacai collaborations. Now, the Swoosh is ready to re-release the classic runner in its standard form, available later this week.

The Nike Daybreak is all the rage right now, whether you’re aware of it or not. Of course, every sneakerhead worth their salt has been paying attention to Nike’s projects with Sacai and Undercover, though they may not have fully recognized the Daybreak silhouette at the base of each project. Now, that legendary runner is back in its original form. Built first in 1979, the Nike Daybreak features a thick EVA midsole with a cup-shaped footbed to lock you into your run. The upper was constructed from a mix of nylon and suede for a lightweight yet supportive feel. The latest new colorway to surface shows the shoe in a deep maroon tone for the mesh base and suede overlays, while the Swoosh stands out in bold orange as well as laces in the classic Volt color. Blue heel tabs are the last splash of color in this look, aside from the tilted Nike logo in Volt.
