The cycle for the fad was short, but sparked inspiration among big sneaker brands like Nike and adidas. Their take on the trend took archival boots and encased the underfoot studs in crystal clear rubber, making them more durable for casual wear while still showing off the cleat in its complete form. Nike’s version, CryoShot, finally landed this Summer in tandem with the World Cup, teaming up with partners from around the world to deliver colors inspired by each collaborators national team. The Swoosh has more releases coming for their CryoShot shoes, largely taking pairs from famous players and reviving them for casual wear. This week, a new leak from SneakerMarket.RO gave us a peak at Mia Hamm’s Zoom M9 silhouette, with its studs immortalized in the clear rubber encasement. Black and white leather cover the upper, with a strip of carbon fiber printed textile separating the two, while red branding completes the look.

Nike has not announced any of their upcoming CryoShot projects officially yet, though this “Mia Hamm” edition of the Zoom M9 boot is currently slated to land sometime in 2027. Featuring a black and white upper with a carbon fiber print accent, and subtle red branding hits, the underfoot studs are encased in clear TPU rubber. Pairs will be available through Nike and select retailers for $200.
