Nike’s Air Max 95 appears to be making an early push for releases in 2022, with a number of fresh colorways dropping in the past month alone. Today, we have an early look at a seasonal “Earth Day” release, coming soon.
Nike’s waviest Air Max sneaker is kicking off the new year with a string of brand new colorways. Despite the AM95 being one of the few Air Max family silhouettes not celebrating an anniversary in 2022, the Swoosh is still eager to keep fans of the vintage running shoe at ease with new styles. Today, we are taking an early look at a new “Earth Day”-inspired pair that is likely set to release alongside the national day in April. Given the context of this release, we are assuming that this pair uses a high percentage of recycled or reused materials, in the spirit of Earth Day. The look begins with layers of neutral colors making up the 95’s waves, starting in a dark olive green and lightening in tone with each layer. The laces are made from what appears to be hemp, held in place by bold green lace loops, while a floral tongue print completes the look.

Nike’s upcoming “Earth Day”-themed release of the Air Max 95 has not yet been officially announced, though we do expect them to release closer to National Earth Day on April 22nd.. The neutral color scheme will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with a new price tag of $180 for 2022.
