Nike went all out with their retro Blazer Mid ’77 a few years ago, recreating the iconic silhouette for the modern day. Now, with plenty of colorways in the bank, they have something new with this ‘Olive Suede’ edition, coming soon.
The Nike Blazer first made its debut in 1973, as one of the brand’s first all-leather basketball silhouettes. The silhouetted was modified and iterated for several years, until the Swoosh landed on the 1977 version, which has been revived for the modern day over the past few years. The mid-cut model has been immensely popular in this time, as a simple and affordable option with an iconic look. This week, we got an early look at a new ‘Olive Suede’ edition of the shoe, which constructs its upper almost entirely from shaggy suede. The Swooshes, heel counters, and midsole come in plain white, while laces and tongues in an off-white hue complete the look.
