The Nike Air Max 98 continues to celebrate its twentieth anniversary this year. The timeless runner is already available in a multitude of new and original colorways, though you may want to sit tight as a new “Racer Blue” version is just around the corner.
The Nike Air Max 98 is back in 2018. With impeccable timing, as usual, Nike is celebrating the silhouette’s twentieth anniversary just as oversized runners have come back into style. This is without a doubt Nike’s wheelhouse, and they have not disappointed yet. So far, the Air Max 98 was released in the most sought-after original colorways, as well as a handful of brilliant new looks.
The latest fresh colorway to grace the AM98 goes by the name of “Racer Blue.” The shoe begins with a white mesh upper, broken up by the 98’s many signature lines, which come mostly in black for this pair. The next level of layering also comes in black, covering the lowest panel circling the shoe, the inner lining, and small spots on the medial sides. The vibrant blue tone takes over the entire tongue and laces, as well as the small Swoosh logos placed around the shoe. Finally, the Nike Air Max 98 “Racer Blue” is complete by a bright blue Air unit underfoot.
