The Nike Air Woven first found its way to the United States in the year 2000, providing a wild new style for American sneakerheads to try out. This year, the Air Woven is making its return, kicking things off with this new “Multicolor” style.

In the year 2000, Nike introduced a radical new sneaker to the U.S. market, the Air Woven, after the silhouette originally rose to commercial success overseas in Japan. The Air Woven quickly became a cult favorite in the states, disappearing from retailers almost as quickly as it arrived, and in no time at all, the Woven’s legend was born. Now, twenty-one years later, Nike is revisiting the pivotal and unique design, rebuilding the Air Woven for the modern day, complete with all-new colorways like the “Multicolor” joint seen here. While very little is currently known about this retro, it is safe to assume that Nike is looking to rehash the original design, updating the nylon strands used to create the upper with modern-day materials.
