Nike’s Air Tuned Max has begun its triumphant return, reintroduced as a retro model this year for the first time since 1999. Now, Nike is making up for lost time with plenty of new colorways, like this “Metallic Silver” look, coming soon.

The Nike Air Tuned Max is officially back, as of the release of the original “Celery” color scheme earlier this year. Now, the Swoosh is moving on to something new, rehashing the classic wild-looking sneaker in new colorways for the modern-day, fulfilling twenty-two years of requests from fans for more pairs. This week, we have an early look at a new “Metallic Silver” color scheme coming to the Air Tuned Max this year, decorating the vintage sneaker with shiny silver overlays. The rest of the shoe features black mesh base layers and grey TPU cages, while a full-length grey midsole completes the look.

Nike’s next new color scheme of the 1999 Air Tuned Max has not yet been announced for release, though the sleek “Triple Black” look is expected to launch sometime in the coming weeks. The new Air Tuned Max will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of $170 per pair.
