The Nike Air Trainer 1 is back. The iconic multi-sport training shoe is celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary in 2022, and if we know Nike, they have big plans for the beloved model. First, check out the new “Enamel Green” look, coming soon.

Nike’s famous cross-trainer is back in 2022, celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary. The Air Trainer 1 was purpose built to transcend the boundaries of athletic footwear at the time, which were often designed with one purpose, or sport, in mind. Created by Tinker Hatfield, the AT1 was meant to perform both in the gym and across court sports, providing plenty of cushioning thanks to its incapsulated Air unit, as well as keeping athletes locked in with its mid-cut collar. Originally, all colorways of the Air Trainer were repurposed from gym equipment from the time. Now, Nike is bringing out some new styles for the shoe’s anniversary, like this “Enamel Green” look slated to drop this Spring. Featuring a white leather base layer, the pale green tone comes in the form suede outer layers, remixing the AT1 with a soft pastel look.
