Nike classics have been making a comeback recently. Next up to receive a faithful retro rendition is 1990’s Nike Air Span II, a low-top runner with a cult following. Little is known about the release, only that the beloved “Hot Coral” colorway is coming soon.

The Nike Air Span II first released in 1990, two years after the original. The sleek profile and smooth color blocking made it desirable to both runners and sneaker fans. Now, Nike is planning to retro the classic sneakers in 2018 with several original colorways. The first iteration to surface online is the “Hot Coral” model, which paints the mesh base in light grey and black layering. The heel, mudguard, and Swooshes are swathed in a dark grey hue, while the midsole comes in plain white. Small spots Solar Red adorn the insoles, eyelets, Nike branding, and areas of the outsole. The shoe’s famous Air Span II label on the heel is present in this affectionate remake, printed in black for visibility.
