The Nike Air Pegasus ’83 is coming back. Last seen more than five years ago with an altered shape and construction, the original Air Pegasus is coming back this month in its original form. Check out the debut “Stone” color scheme, coming soon.

Nike’s origins as a running shoe brand have created a massive archive of classic footwear in the Swoosh vault, constantly pulled for reference, or occasionally, a full-fledged retro release. This month, Nike is gearing up to reintroduce the Air Pegasus ’83, an early running model from the brand that birthed the still ongoing Pegasus franchise. While it has been retro’d before with some minor alterations to the materials and construction, official imagery of the new pairs indicated that Nike has gone to great lengths to recreate the original as closely as possible, slimming down the materials used and fixing the shape from previous rehashings to better fit the archival product. While we are likely to see many colorways of this new Pegasus ’83 over the next few months, it will debut in the “Stone” color scheme seen here, pitting grey suede overlays over a white mesh base with Swoosh’s made from a dark brown leather.
