Lace up your jordans and get your popcorn ready because we have the first official trailer for the upcoming “Air” movie which stars Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and many others. 

For many of us, Nike and Jordan Brand have both been dominating the footwear and athletic genres for all of our lives but as hard as it is to believe, there was a time that Nike was just a small company in Oregon and Michael Jordan was just a normal college athlete trying to make it to the NBA. The new movie “AIR” follows the journey behind the scenes and during the early days of Nike as Sonny Vaccaro (played by Matt Damon) takes on the vital role of saving and building Nike’s Basketball division and banking on the gut feeling and awesome collegiate tape of a UNC Basketball player named Michael Jordan.

The movie highlights the real events of capturing a feeling and trusting your gut while also showing the back story of how Nike courted Michael Jordan despite being the small brand that it was and the vision that Sonny saw within Michael Jordan for an entire collection centering around the athlete, which was a huge stretch back in the day, especially for a rookie. It will also follow the team during the creative process behind the greatest basketball shoe of all time, the Air Jordan 1 High. Now while Michael Jordan is not expected to make an appearance himself, the cast boasts a lot of household names you will be pleased with such as Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Viola Davis, and of course Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon.

You can enjoy an early look at the film below and be sure to catch the anticipated movie exclusively in theatres beginning April 5th, 2023. Now we just hope tickets will be easier to snag than Jordan’s on release day.
