Nike appears to be reaching back into the vault this Summer with a new offering of the Air Max Tailwind 4 that is set to feature a resemblance to the iconic Air Jordan 5 Grape.

The Nike Air Max Tailwind 4 debuted all the way back in 1999 as a running shoe but it’s safe to say in 2020, the sneaker is more of a lifestyle sneaker than anything. Re-introduced to today’s sneakerheads in 2019 with a Supreme collaboration, since then Nike has begun to release a couple of new colorways every once in a while for fans to enjoy. This edition looks to be a hit as it draws from a familiar colorway that’s a fan-favorite.

Dressed similar to the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” that released all those years ago, the Air Max upper is dressed in a black leather upper while white leather overlays quickly cover the black base. Teal and Purple accents are then shared evenly throughout on the lace eyelets, midfoot color blocking, and Nike branding on the toe and ankle. A retro thick white midsole with teal detailing around the Air Max bubbles and a black rubber outsole finishes off the fresh new look.
