Nike’s Air Max Plus has been a staple of the AM lineup since its anniversary celebration in 2023. This year, the Swoosh is reviving the silhouettes VII variant model for its twentieth anniversary. This “Dusk” style arrives in Fall 2025.
The Air Max Plus from Nike originally released in 1998, as a Footlocker-exclusive style. The model incorporated the brand’s Tuned Air technology, and has since become a cult classic among Air Max heads. In 2023, the Swoosh celebrated twenty-five years of the fan-favorite model, rereleasing iconic colorways as well as special limited-edition styles. This year, they are bringing back the VII variant model twenty years after its debut.
The Air max Plus VII originally launched in 2005. The revised version did not change much of the shoe’s internal technology aside from updating it with then-current manufacturing methods. However, it did add a new look for the upper, removing the plastic cage system for a series of dots that resemble water droplets, adding motion by making them appear as if they’re dripping from the toe cap. This week we have official images of a new “Dusk” color scheme, one of the AM Plus’ debut releases. The look starts with an orange toe, transitioning to pink and then purple at the heels. Neon green Swooshes and Air bags add another color to the palette.
