The Nike Air Max Plus Drift is a fresh take on the iconic Air Max Plus, set to debut in the Spring/Summer 2024 season. The first colorway to be revealed features a sophisticated blend of sail, brown, and light gum hues.
The shoe maintains the Air Max Plus’ signature gradient effect, with the mesh uppers transitioning from a rich brown at the toe to a pristine white midfoot, culminating in a gentle sky blue towards the heel. This serene blue accent extends to the branding, Air supports, and underfoot tread, completing the shoe’s aesthetic.
The Air Max Plus Drift borrows the original tooling of the Air Max Plus, pairing it with a new upper design. It features a breathable mesh base underneath a curved molded overlay that runs the length of the shoe. The palm tree-reminiscent profile detailing of the Drift opts for a thicker build compared to its predecessor. The Swooshes extend from the mid-foot to the heel, further differentiating this modern version from the original ’90s design. The sole units are nearly identical to the first Tuned Air tooling, with updated finishes on the whale tail-shaped shanks and rubber traction at the forefoot.
The Nike Air Max Plus Drift is expected to hit stores starting April 2024, with a retail price of $185. Stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more of the latest sneaker news, release dates, and restock alerts.
