Nike has been known to create some pretty out-there iterations of their most popular silhouettes. This month, they’ll debut the Air Max FF 720, a women’s cut-out sandal mounted on top of the new 720 Air tooling.

Nike’s Air Max 720 made its debut this past March, and has continued to release in new colorways in the weeks since. As with any new Air Max bubbles, Nike has taken the liberty of adopting the 720 to a variety of both new and old silhouettes. Some go together well, and others less so. This week, we have an early look at one of these off-shoot sneakers, and as of yet, we’re a little undecided on the Air Max FF 720.

Nike’s latest AIr 720 propelled shoe has a lot going on on the surface, but deep down, it’s really quite simple. Using the Air Max 720 tooling as a base, the new look combines the oversized bubble with an Air Force 1-style outsole for durable grip and traction. Up top, the upper features a number of cut-outs to make the new sandal more breathable and exposed. Constructed from smooth leather, the Air Max FF 720 features an elastic heel for adaptive support and a very basic lacing system to keep you locked in.

The Nike Air Max FF 720 sandal built for women is scheduled to release later this month on June 20th, 2019. Making its debut in tonal grey and black colorways, the airy new sandal will likely carry a somewhat hefty retail price, above the $130 range.
