Nike’s annual Air Max Day releases bring us both new silhouettes and reissues of classic fan-favorites. After this year’s release of the Air Max DN, the Swoosh appears to be working on a follow-up, currently known as the DN8.
Back in March, the Swoosh releases the Air Max DN, a brand new model with a new take on their iconic Air cushioning system, which used individual tubes with different pressure in the to create a dynamic and responsive sole. The shoe has released in a wide range of colors since then, though it has not become an instant classic like some past releases. Now, it appears Nike is working on a successor for the new model, arriving next year.
Nike’s next iteration of their Dynamic Air Max series is a serious step forward in styling for the new franchise. The model was spotted this week on the feet of Javel Berlin, one of the creative leads behind Corteiz, though we do not have an up-close look yet. The shoe’s sole doubles the amount of Air cushioning, adding four more tubes to the shoe’s forefoot. The upper has also gotten an overhaul, adding jagged, teeth like lines to the previously simple look.
