Nike has prepared a new edition of the fan-favorite Air Max 97 in a familiar “Wheat” color blocking.

Originally released 23 years ago in 1997, the Air Max 97 has been around for either the entirety of our life or most of it. While the silhouette definitely had a dry spell where the sneaker did not see too many new colorways, with retro aesthetics coming back and bigger silhouettes surging in demand, the AM97 is back like never before.

This edition features a familiar Wheat design that many Nike fans have been in love with for a while. Featuring an upper composed of tumbled leather two different shades of Wheat are used throughout the many waves of the silhouette. White then dresses the side paneling and laces while also accompanying the Air Max unit midsole. A wheat gum rubber outsole then finishes off the new look.

As of now, a release date has not been scheduled but we expect the Wheat Air Max 97 to arrive soon via select retailers and Check out detailed images of the pair below and make sure to follow JustFreshKicks for all the updates and the latest sneaker news.
