The Nike Air Max 97 will continue to make a run in retail stores even after it’s twenty year anniversary. The latest popular colorway to take over the silhouette will be the “Sprite” makeup, which recently appeared online in official images.
The Nike Air Max 97 has taken on dozens of popular Swoosh themes over the years, and has even been the inspiration for other widely used colorways. The new iteration of the 97, dubbed “Sprite”, sees the upper beginning with a blue mesh base, covered by white overlays to form the signature curves of the model. The blue mesh sticks out on the tongue and in singular lines, as well as highlighting the small white Swoosh logos on the lateral and medial sides. A single thin layer circling the shoe takes on a pale lime green color, which is matched by the visible Air unit underfoot.
