In celebration of 2021’s National Puerto Rican Day, Nike will be taking their Air Max 97 and will be applying a Puerto Rico theme to the classic silhouette.
Officially releasing in Metallic Silver and Varsity Red, no leaked images have surfaced for the 2021 release, but we expect a full Metallic Silver mesh and leather upper that is highlighted with Varsity Red wave-like overlays, Nike Swoosh branding on the side paneling and tongue along with the expected Puerto Rico flag on the ankles. A white midsole, silver Air Max unit, and a black rubber outsole finishes off the future makeover. With the special makeover on the classic sneaker, expect many to be out to get a pair.
