Celebrating the Japanese animated emoticons, Nike will be adding the Air Max 97 to their upcoming collection.
Joining the Air Max 95, the Nike Air Max 97 will be the latest AM silhouette to joining the upcoming and looks to be growing collection. Featuring a fun and friendly inspiration, Nike has taken a page out of the trendy notebook to celebrate the animated emoticons we all use on a daily basis. Design quirks aside, the colorway is also a catch as well. Calling for a white mesh build, silver, and black overlays are placed throughout the build that adds a nice contrast to the classic AM97 build. Purple, Volt, and Blue detailing is added throughout the tongue, midsole, and Air unit. The sneaker also features velcro capabilities which allows the user to add emoticons to the sneaker’s upper.

The Nike Air Max 97 “Kaomoji” will be dropping very soon via select Nike retailers and Nike.com in the coming weeks although an official drop date has not been announced.
