Nike’s Air Max franchise is getting a series of corduroy updates this season, adding the soft material to some classic silhouettes. This week, the Air Max 97 receives the material update, coming soon.
Nike’s Air Max releases have bene non-stop this year, celebrating several big anniversaries for both the AM1 and AM97 silhouettes. While the original Air Max model has seen recognition from the brand on this front, the 97’s celebration has been somewhat downplayed, though we’ve seen a number of exciting releases throughout 2022. This week, another new AM97 surfaced, as a part of the Swoosh’s upcoming corduroy collection. The new look begins with a white mesh base layer, adding the shoe’s signature waves in white leather. The lower portions of the shoe come in deep brown corduroy, while hints of olive green appear on the lacing system and insoles.

Nike’s upcoming releases of their corduroy-clad Air Max series have not been officially announced for release, though they are expected to release sometime in 2022. The white, green, and brown pair of the Air Max 97 will be available direct from Nike, dropping via the SNKRS app for $185.
