Nike’s Air Max retros are always an event to look forward to, as the Swoosh routinely revives fan favorites in both new and improved iterations. This week, rumors surfaced indicating the Air Max 96 II is making a comeback sometime in the coming months.

Nike’s Air Max line has been serving up new and exciting silhouettes since its introduction in 1986, and new silhouettes have only gotten better with time. However, plenty of fans still pine after the shoes they had as a kid or watched their favorite athlete dominate while wearing at a younger age. Luckily, Nike has a penchant for nostalgia as well and is more than happy to abide by these wishes. This week, we are taking a look at the next Air Max retro, which supposedly will revive the beloved Air Max 96 II runner this year. So far, the indications are that the 96 II will arrive sometime this Fall, possibly kicking off with the original purple and red “Cherry” color scheme.
