Nike launched their first-ever 3D printed sneaker model this year, the Air Max 1000. Now, they have their follow-up model in the pipeline, the Air Max 95000, primed in a black & volt colorway for its debut.
2025 has been a big year for 3D printing in sneakers. While adidas was the first to adopt printed footwear parts in their catalog back in 2017, they finally released the first fully printed model this Summer, the next generation ClimaCool. Nike followed suit shortly afterward, launching their Air Max 1000 in a handful of tonal colorways, alongside their manufacturing and design partner Zellerfeld. Zellerfeld has become the go-to name in printed sneakers, adopting a user-based model where designers and artists can submit their ideas and have them produced and sold directly through the Zellerfeld platform.
This week, Nike and Zellerfeld’s next creation has emerged, and to no one’s surprise, it is another adaptation of a beloved Air Max sneaker. This time, in honor of the silhouette’s thirty-year anniversary, the Air Max 95 gets the 3D printed treatment, now called the 95000. The silhouette is quite similar to its predecessor through the upper half of the design, which uses the same wavy lines as the 1000. However, the new pair adds a flat strip down the front of the shoe, and modifies the midsole to fit the new AM95’s Big Bubble air bags. The new model will debut in a striking back & Volt green combo, sometime during the holiday season.
