Nike is revisiting their 7-Eleven themed sneakers this year, after their last co-branded release was cancelled. This time, the Air Max 95 serves as the canvas, and will be a part of a larger convenience store series of releases.
Japanese konbini stores are a huge part of food culture in the country, offering up tons of variety through pre-packaged meals. There are a number of major chains that serve up convenience food, mainly Lawson’s and 7-Eleven. While the latter is an American creation, founded in Dallas and dotted across the United States, the 7-Eleven we think of here is vastly different from Japan’s version, which is more focused on quick food, often heated, prepped, and eaten in the store itself. Japan has it’s own fascination with the chain, which has led to plenty of 7-Eleven collabs in the sneakers and streetwear world, including a highly anticipated SB Dunk Low from 2020 that was cancelled before it made it to market.
After the collapse of their official collaboration with 7-Eleven six years ago, Nike is taking matters into their own hands with a new series of sneakers themed after convenience store chains. The first pair from the project has surfaced today, an Air Max 95 sporting 7-Eleven’s signature color scheme. The AM95 gets an all-suede makeover for this special release, featuring white mesh at the top, and layers of white, orange, green, and red mimicking 7-Eleven’s signature stripes. Toe caps and heel tabs are added in a warm brown suede, with a matching gum sole to complete the look. Another pair featuring the Japanese chain Lawson’s color will reportedly join this pair in a Summer release, expected to mix white and blue for the currently unseen design.
NIKE AIR MAX 95 QS “7-ELEVEN” RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike has ye tot formally announce their plans regarding the upcoming convenience store series, but pairs are expected to drop sometime in Summer 2026. So far, the collection includes this 7/11-themed Air Max 95, and a second AM95 in a Lawson’s blue color scheme, though that pair has not leaked yet. The project seems to focus on beloved Japanese institutions, so pairs could be exclusive to the country, but we hope to see them available from SNKRS and select retailers stateside. Pricing is set at $210.
