The Nike Air Max 95 has been quietly dropping in spectacular colorways for about a year now, with no signs of slowing down in 2021. This week, a new “Champagne” look has started to release overseas, with a stateside drop coming soon.

Nike’s Air Max 95 has reemerged as one of the brand’s premier silhouettes in the past year, thanks to dozens of new and classic colorways releasing in such a short period of time. This week, we have an up-close look at another upcoming release for the Air Max 95, this time reworking the vintage runner in premium materials for a new “Champagne” color scheme. Already beginning its rollout overseas, the new look begins with a black mesh base layer for the upper, before adding cream white nubuck, light grey suede, and black leather to create the 95’s multi-tiered wavy upper. Strikingly similar to Comme des Garçon’s flagship Air Max 95 from January 2020, this look simply reverses the color gradient’s direction on the upper for a new look. More premium black leather makes up the mudguard, while a black tongue and white midsole complete the neutral color scheme.
