Nike’s anniversary celebration for the Air Max 90 is well underway by now, and the Swoosh is still surprising us with new and updated colorways. Today, we have a closer look at another all-white look coming soon, this time with our beloved cork insoles.

The latest colorway to surface of the Air Max 90’s anniversary iteration is strikingly similar to the first, featuring an all white build, from heel to toe. However, this release differs slightly in materials and build. While the previous version was a “Recrafted” version of the original 1990 silhouette, the upcoming pair is more in line with Nike’s current vision for the Air Max 90, a slightly chunkier design with more support that still looks like something straight out of a vintage catalogue – and they’ve nailed it. The latest version mixes up leather with cotton knit mesh as well as a highly textured suede for an impressive looking silhouette. The shoe’s insoles have also been swapped, this time going for the ultra-lightweight, breathable cork material that Nike fans seem to love. (Keen-eyed observers will even notice the insole branding is remarkably similar to that of Tom Sachs’ NikeCraft shoes.) Additionally, the outsole seems to borrow some inspiration from Nike’s recent “Space Hippie” line, adding a colorful speckled translucent rubber to the otherwise white shoe.
