Last year, Nike introduced an upgraded Air Max 90 as a part of the shoe’s anniversary celebration. Now, after a year’s hiatus, the AM90 Surplus has surfaced in a new “Midnight Navy” color scheme, with a release rumored for the coming weeks.

As a part of the Nike Air Max 90’s 30th anniversary celebration in 2020, the Swoosh introduced a range of new styles for the classic running shoe, delivering versions of the sneaker for all kinds of situations. One of the most popular of these new releases, the Surplus model, transformed the AM90 with durable Cordura fabrics and a higher collar, readying the shoe for harsher weather. Now, as we inch closer to the rainy season here in California, Nike has unveiled their first new release of the Air Max 90 Surplus in several months. Decked out in “Midnight Navy” tones, the fresh new look adds black Swooshes and a baby blue hit on the toe box to complete the look.
