With the Nike Air Max 90 celebrating 30 years in 2020, the Swoosh is going all out for one of their fan-favorite silhouettes. In addition to the littany of colorways dropping over the coming months, Nike is also adding the AM90 to Nike By You, with premium upgrades.
30 years ago, Nike launched the Air Max 90, the second installment in what has become one of, if not the, most beloved franchise under the Nike banner. For the last three decades, the running sneaker has remained one of the most popular, and important pieces of footwear in the Swoosh’s history. To honor the long and impactful legacy of the Air Max 90, Nike is rolling out dozens of colorways this year, from simple and classic OGs to exciting new takes like this year’s Lunar New Year release, and even letting you design your own. This week, the Air Max 90 will make its debut on the Nike By You platform in a new Premium iteration. While we have yet to see the full range of options that will be available, Nike has dropped a selection of carefully curated looks, showing off luxurious materials and ’90s-inspired graphics for the Air Max 90.
The Nike Air Max 90 Premium is scheduled to arrive on the brands ‘By You’ customization platform later this week, on February 24th, 2020. Prices for this upgraded version have yet to be announced, though we expect them to sit somewhere above the AM90’s standard $150 price tag.
