Nike has officially unveiled its lineup of sneakers made from recycled materials, most of which we’ve already taken an early look at in recent works. However, today we got our first look at a new NRG colorway of the Air Max 90, complete with recycled uppers.

Nike’s Move to Zero campaign, which pushes the brand to focus on recycling extra materials as well as the efficiency of waste throughout the production process, has brought sweeping change to the brand’s lineup in 2020. Kicked off with the Space Hippie collection in July, made entirely from scrap material, the sustainability campaign aims to reduce Nike’s overall carbon footprint to as close to zero as possible. Among the releases lined up for this project is a new collection of classic Swoosh sneakers, now constructed using recycled materials for the upper. While we’ve already seen a few of them in recent weeks, today we have our first look at the Recycled Air Max 90. The new-look layers the AM90 with recycled cotton canvas, which comes in light grey for the shoe’s base and darker shades for the overlays. The tongue features the brand’s colorful patterned fabric, while the Swoosh and heel tab show off hints of volt green accents.
