The Nike Air Max 90 anniversary celebration is in full-swing this month, now that it’s finally 2020. As a part of the 30th anniversary celebration, the Swoosh has added a new “New Maroon” colorway to their lineup of upcoming releases.
Nike’s anniversary celebrations are always a cause for excitement in the sneaker world. The brand’s archives are filled with so many legendary and fan-favorite sneakers that every year is a wild card for what incredible silhouette will make its return. This year, that honor goes to the Air Max 90, which celebrates its 30-year anniversary, a massive milestone in the world of footwear. While Nike already kicked off the party last month with a handful of different colorways, there were a few leaked pairs missing from the release calendar. Luckily, one of those colorways has surfaced in new official images, giving us a better look at the “Maroon” Air Max 90. The color blocking is largely the same of other AM90 releases this year, featuring a predominently white upper with black leather accents and flashes of color along the midsole, AM90 branding, and lacing system, which, in this case, come in maroon.

Nike’s latest colorway of their anniversary edition of the Air Max 90 OG has not yet been announced for released, though we do expect them to drop sometime in the coming weeks. The new “Maroon” colorway will likely see a release in Spring or Summer, retailing for the silhouette’s usual $140 price tag.
