The Nike Air Max 90 anniversary celebration is in full-swing or 2020, with dozens of classic and new colorways released in the past few months. However, Nike has more in store, like this new “Laser Blue” iteration of the classic runner, which dropped in Japan this week.

The Nike Air Max 90 is everywhere right now. With the brand’s initial releases for the thirtieth-anniversary celebration widely available in stores now, there have been plenty of pairs to spot on the feet or Air Max fanatics. Now, as we move into the second quarter of the new year, Nike is prepping the next round of new colorways for the AM90, including this rehashed take on the original “Laser Blue” tone from the ’90s. This time around, the AM90 begins with a black mesh base layer, before adding anthracite grey overlays to the mudguard and quarter panels. Next, white shanks are laid on top of silver Swooshes, while the titular Laser Blue color appears on the plastic lacing system, midsole trim, and Air Max 90 branding.
