Finally, they’re coming. With Nike celebrating the 30th anniversary of their fan-favorite Air Max 90, its no secret that the original “Infrared” colorway would be returning, just a matter of when. This week, we have our first look at the recrafted sneaker, coming soon.

The Air Max 90 is going to dominate 2020, as Nike celebrates the 30th anniversary of one of their most beloved silhouettes, born in the 1990 as a running sneaker before transitioning into the ultimate lifestyle sneaker it is now. So far, over the past three months, Nike has released an massive amount of different colorways for the AM90, and there is still plenty to come. However, while we are still plenty excited for new additions to the Air Max line, this week, we have our first look at the most anticipated Air Max 90 release of the year, the original “Infrared” colorway. Now perceived as one of the most important sneakers in history, the Infrared AM90 only releases once every few years, allowing fans of the franchise to stock up on the ultimate Air Max grail. This year’s pair appears to be one of the most accurate to the original yet, thanks to a lighter tone for the Infrared coloring, as well as closer materials and shape.

Nike’s legendary “Infrared” colorway of the Air Max 90 OG, releasing as a part of the 35th anniversary celebration, has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to drop sometime in the coming weeks. The classic color scheme will retail for the same $140 as the rest, and launch from both Nike and select retailers.
