Nike’s Air Max 90 Gore-Tex is adding new colorways this season, building out the roster of the waterproofed runner’s arsenal. This week, we got our first look at the ‘Anthracite’ color scheme, coming soon.

Nike’s Air Max 90 has been in steady supply since its remastered edition debuted in 2020. Reviving a number of original colorways as well as adding plenty of new ones, the Swoosh has kept busy with their releases of the classic running shoe. Along the way, they’ve also introduced new variants of the silhouette, like the recent Gore-Tex-lined versions that have released sporadically in the past several months. This week, we got an early look at a new ‘Anthracite’ colorway of the AM90 Gore-Tex, which begins with a mixed material base layer, leather for the toes and ripstop for the collar sections, both in inky anthracite black. More layers are added in dark grey, with lighter grey Swooshes and TPU pieces on top. The mudguard that runs from the toe all the way around the heels comes in a dark navy blue, while striking light blue tones fill in the Air bubbles, outsoles, and Gore-Tex branding.
