With Nike celebrating the 30th anniversary of their fan-favorite Air Max 90, and the Swoosh is going all out. This week, we have an early look at a new premium color scheme, which covers the AM90 in all black animal prints.
The Air Max 90 has been all over the place in 2020. We’ve covered dozens of releases so far, with plenty more on the way, and Nike shows no sign of slowing down. This is an anniversary year for the Air Max 90, which, if you couldn’t guess, made its debut 30 years ago. Known at the time as the Air Max III, the AM90 quickly became a favorite amongst both runners and sneakerheads, leading it to become one of the most universally beloved Air Max silhouettes of all time. With so many releases of the AM90 going down this year, its been pretty hard to track them all down. But this week, we have an early look at another upcoming project that we are not going to lose sight of. Decked out in an all-black color scheme, the Air Max 90 will be releasing in a quick strike animal print colorway in the coming weeks. From the pony hair base layer to the ostrich leather overlays and stingray leather tongue, this release is all kinds of lux, and likely be difficult to obtain as a result.

Nike’s latest colorway of the Anniversary-edition Air Max 90, which covers the shoe in all black animal leathers, has not yet been announced for release yet, though we expect a global drop sometime in the next few weeks. This Air Max 90 will be available from both Nike and select retail partners, likely with an elevated retail price tag above $150 price tag.
