The Nike Air Max 90 celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, returning with new colorways and variations all year long. This week, the Swoosh unveiled a new “3M Logo” edition, adding an all-over logo print to the AM90’s signature side shank.
Nike’s recrafted versions of vintage sneakers have been a point of pride for the Oregon-based brand in recent years, giving fans another chance to own some of their favorite classic footwear as well as introducing the younger audience to the inspirations for some of today’s hottest sneakers. Among the most beloved of these “Recrafted” editions is the Air Max 90, which debuted last year for the silhouette’s thirtieth anniversary. Released in remastered original colorways, as well as plenty of new ones, Nike is carrying the Recrafted AM90 with them into 2021, continuing to release new color schemes. This week, the Swoosh has debuted another new look for the quintessential Air Max, adding an all-over 3M logo print to the 90’s side shanks across a high contrast color scheme. The new look begins with an all-white mesh base layer for the Air Max 90, while black TPU elements make up the lacing system, heel counter, and midsole inserts. The Swoosh, Air bubble, and laces come in Volt green, while the 3M side shank sports a number of the brand’s logos from across the decades.
