Nike’s Air Max 1 continues to celebrate its thirty-fifth anniversary this year with fresh colorways each season. This week, the classic runner emerged in a bright ‘Tour Yellow’ color scheme, coming soon.

The Air Max 1 is a personal favorite. Originally released in 1987, the silhouette was the first Nike Air shoe with an exposed air bubble, allowing you to see the then-fresh cushioning technology at work while you walked or ran. The AM1 was massively popular, praised by runners for its stability and durability, and beloved by the growing world of sneakerheads for its timeless look. Now, Nike is celebrating thirty-five years of the historic silhouette. With a number of special releases already available, this week we got an early look at a new ‘Tour Yellow’ color scheme set to arrive this Summer. Following the classic AM1 color blocking, this pair begins with a white mesh base layer, adding light grey tumbled leather to the quarter panels and heels. The namesake yellow tone colors the mudguard fro, toe to heel. as well as this pair’s Swooshes and tongue branding.

Nike’s upcoming Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” is slowly beginning to roll out to retailers, surfacing via raffle from the UK’s END. Clothing earlier this week. Scheduled for August 24th, this bright like look will likely release from both Nike and select retailers stateside in the coming weeks for $150. UPDATE 9/14/22: Nike has revealed their release date for the ‘Tour Yellow’ Air Max 1, which will release this month on September 27th, 2022. Pairs will be available from the brand’s SNKRS app in women’s sizing, with a price tag of $160.
