Nike’s Air Max 1 is having itself a renaissance right now. The sneaker celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, and the Swoosh has continued the party into the new year. Check out the new “Signal Blue” Air Max 1, coming soon.

Nike is going crazy with Air Max 1 releases this year, and with good reason. Originally released in 1989, the Air Max 1 struck a chord with runners and sneaker fanatics alike due to its sleek profile and extremely comfortable fit. Since then, the silhouette has evolved endlessly, experimenting with different stylings and new materials, until finally settling into the now-coveted “Anniversary” iteration from 2017. Using premium materials, Nike is now making Air Max 1’s as true to their roots as possible. This includes adding exciting new colorways, like the “Signal Blue” iteration recently revealed online. Expected to launch sometime soon, the new look begins with the brand’s signature Sail color for the mesh base. Next, central sections of the shoe come in a light grey to play off of the off-white mesh. The suede mudguard that runs around the whole shoe comes in a shocking blue tone, matched by the laces and inner lining. Finally, the new colorway is finished off with bold yellow Swooshes on either side of the sneaker.

The bold new colorway of the Nike Air Max 1 is set to arrive in stores soon. The mix of blue and yellow will retail for the usual $130 retail price from both Nike and select retailers.
