Nike’s revival of the Air Max 1 has been one of their main focuses over the last few years. The retro runner has become a canvas for fun new ideas, as well as some rehashed older collaborations. This week, we got an early look at a new pair of the Premium edition in a “Dark Smoke Grey” color scheme.
Nike’s Air Max 1 has returned as a staple of Nike’s releases over the last few years, since the silhouette’s Anniversary edition released in a few colorways in 2020. Since then, the retro runner has donned dozens of interesting new styles and special-edition looks, including some re-releases and rehashes of iconic color schemes. Meanwhile, their Premium edition has been a canvas for experimentation, bringing new textiles and materials to the model, like this “Dark Smoke Grey” edition coming in Fall 2024.
The latest look for the Air Max 1 PRM from Nike gives the shoe a makeover that is fit for the dark and stormy Fall and Winter months. The shoe’s base layer comes in a quilted nylon textile, adding plenty of texture to the toes and heels. The mudguard comes in a pale grey suede, while midfoot panels mix shades of black and dark grey across various cuts of leather. Finally, bright red accents make up the Nike branding and Air bubbles.

Nike latest Premium edition colorway of their Air max 1 has not yet been announced for release, but is expected to drop sometime in Fall 2024. Dressed in a “Dark Smoke Grey” colorway with black and red accents, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers, with a price tag of $160.
