The Nike Air Max 1 is turning heads this year. With the Anniversary iteration selling out in new colors monthly, Nike is struggling to keep up with demand. Luckily, this fresh new “Platinum” colorway is scheduled to arrive in stores soon.
Nike’s Air Max 1 is making the rounds this year. After an incredibly successful anniversary celebration last year, the retro runner is back and better than ever in 2018. So far, we have seen new colorways across several forms of the Air Max 1 silhouette, including the Anniversary and Premium versions. Now, Nike is introducing a clean neutral take on the beloved sneaker before Summer is gone.
The new Platinum colorway begins with the flat silver tone over most of the layered upper. The laces, Swoosh, and toe arch come in a softer Sail tone to contrast the main body, though, for the most part, the color is consistent across the shoe. The mini Swoosh on the lateral toe comes in black, matching the airbag and Nike Air branding. Finally, the new color scheme is complete with a plain white sole unit.
