Nike is celebrating a number of anniversaries this year for some of their most pivotal silhouettes, including the Air Max 1. This week, the original Air running shoe surfaced in an ‘Ironstone’ colorway, coming soon.

Nike’s original Air Max sneaker is back in force this year, celebrating its thirty-fifth anniversary in style with a wave of new colorways and special releases. While the roll out of new in-line styles has been somewhat slow, we are beginning to get some early looks at new colors in the pipeline to release later this year. Today, the ‘Ironstone’ style surfaced online, showing off a clean new iteration of the classic running shoe. The look begins with a white mesh base layer for the toe box and collars of the silhouette, adding off-white suede overlays for the toe, quarter panels, and heels. Dark brown Swooshes appear on either side, accompanied by a matching embroidered Swoosh on the toes. The midsole comes in an aged yellowed look, while special tongue tags with neon branding and a description of Air technology complete the look.
